how do i remove 98 pontiac bonneville se car stereo face plate?
how do i remove 98 pontiac bonneville se stock car stereo face plate?? so i can get to the retaining screws, un clip the wire harnes and anntenna cable so i can install a new car stereo
ok i took off the trim peice and and unscrewed my cassete player but i cant remove it because the wire harness is holding it in place( not enough slack in the wires too pull it out all the way ) any suggestions??
You can't take the face plate off, you have to take off the plastic trim piece around the radio to get at the 4 screws that hold it in (one on each corner). Then the radio slides out toward you, and you can unhook the harness and antenna.
...you're going to have to reach up/behind...may have to remove a plastic/under dash cover to gain access...probably the antenna wire that is too short...sometimes held to the radio by another screw so watch for that...
