2 1/2 inch 12 gauge magnum shell?
A co-worker was talking about having recently shot a 2 1/2 inch 12 gauge magnum shell. I have not heard of any modern 12 gauge firing a 2 1/2 inch shell let a lone as a magnum. Does anyone have any information on this I can't seem to find anything except older european shotguns. I don't want to say he's wrong but I was simply wondering if he was just talking stuff up he doesn't know about which is his usual personality.(he said that the 2 1/2 inch was more powerful than the 3 1/2 magnum I use for geese, and that coyote's are more dangerous to adults in the woods than wolves) any help is appreciated I was just interested in checking my facts before I said anything, maybe I will be wrong and actually learn something.
There are 2.75" mags and 2.5" and mini shells for the 12ga. They are not magnum by today's standards.
2.5" is much less powerful. He is full of it.
