Mic Lapel
what can i use besides a Handheld Mic for our play?
I am in charge of doing the PLay for my church this year. It is going to be a musical. we have a few strong singers, and sme that won't go past a whisper. We have plenty of handheld mics, but i would love to find some lapel type or other type, that they could wear so they would have their hands free. Any suggestions?
They make a thing that goes around the neck that will hold a Hand Held mic for you. You can also use a shoelace to hold it around your neck while your talking. Depends on your budget.
Many people like the Hi sonic system.
Lapel mics will need a Setup on the system, and the quality of a good one is about 300$ to 900$. The cheaper ones will give feedback many times. Even a good one can too. The sound range is better on the expensive ones.
There are also HAIR mics and Ear Mics attachments.
It is a matter of budget and buying them.
For best results get one Then test for hotspots on stage. If you have more than one person on stage your going to need a performance mixer. Some have them built into the Mic System, you can also get it seperate.
The only last question would be, do you need a case with it, A performance system and a Installed system are 2 different things. Performance is mobile and has a case so you can carry it. The installed is never removed again.
