Mic Pre
Do I need a pre-amp to use a Shure PG30TQG Cardioid Condenser Headset Mic with my computer?

I'd like to use these for VOIP communication but I'm not sure if I would need to pass them through a pre-amp in order to get any decent signal from them? Is that the case?
