how do you hook up a microphone to sony acid pro 6.0?
i have pro tools but the program is acting up.. its not letting me record, its saying something about the cpu limit.. so i got sony acid in the mean time... but i dont know how to hook up the mic to the program.. the mic that i had for pro tools was hooked up to an mbox and i dont know how to get the mic to work with sony acid... so basically i just need to know either how to fix the pro tools cpu limit...or how to hook up the mic to sony acid pro 6.0
Its hard to know what your pro tools problem is without knowing which version and hardware you are running. Try running pro tools again, and when it has the problem, write down what it says and the dae error number. Go to the protools webite support section and type it in.
You may be running too many plug ins. On single-processor computers, increasing the RTAS load (by increasing the number of RTAS plug-ins, or the number of RTAS plug-ins with low instance counts) can impact your system's CPU and result in performance errors. For best performance, record tracks with plug-ins to audio and inactivate plug-ins to conserve CPU resources.
