Microphone Shock
im going to be buying a Condenser Mic soon. im gonna be recording from my computer. do i have to buy a Usb Mic?
do i have to buy a usb mic
or can i just buy a regular condenser mic and connect it to the computer through the little place where you plug the mic in at

I would recommend the USB mic - it is very simple and there is no external preamp needed. MXL makes a nice USB mic:

If you want to get the regular USB mic, you will need a USB interface with Phantom Power:
