Off Switch
How do you hook up a on and off switch........?
I'm trying to do a school project - I have a light and a fan to work with. I have to have both of them working at the same time with a on and off switch. I need to know how to do that? Help please!!!
The fan is 5v and .45 amp. I have no idea what the light is. I do have the light working though on two 1.5v batteries.
Both the light and fan have a + and - So does your battery. Run 1 wire from + battery to switch then from other terminal on switch to + side of light the + side of fan. Run another wire from - side of battery to - side of light then - side of fan. Your not dealing with a lot of volts here, but to do properly, the last thing you do is hook up the + wire to the battery. Like if you were dealing with 110v make sure the power is OFF.
