Receiver Transmitter
Where can I buy transmitter and receiver ICs for RC applications preferably for 49 mhz applications?
I want to buy the IC chips that are in remote-controlled cars. There is a transmitter and receiver IC that I need. I've see markings on the ones I've taken apart saying RX2 and TX2. I've bought a set from Linx Technologies but that is 315mhz and all I really need is 49mhz and I also need it cheap. Linx charges $8.00 for receiver chip and that's at a big volume order! Please help!
I don't care about frequencies so much as I care about where. Also I need it cheap! 27mhz is fine.

49 MHz is no longer a valid frequency for remote control in the US.
USA and Canada reserved frequencies
72 MHz: aircraft only (France also uses US/Canada channels 21 through 35).
75 MHz: surface vehicles.
27 MHz: general use, toys.
