Shure Model
Equivalent of Shure SE110?
I'm planning on purchasing a good set of earphones for flights and travelling. I'm looking for something much cheaper in price but gives the same quality and noise isolation as the Shure SE110.
I've been looking through some of Sony's Fontopia and Sennheiser CX Models.
None, there isn't a alternative to the quality and noise isolation that the Shure Se110 will give. However, i recommend the Creative Ep-630, they are only $25, and they give a sound quality that is worth 1000000000000% more than the 75$ difference from the Shure Se110. i own the Shure Se530, and i still have a pair of these to listen to when i'm afraid if going to fall asleep. these isolate A LOT of noise, certainly not as much as the Shure's though. I HIGHLY truly GURANTEE you'll be satisfied with thesound quality thse ive for the price. and Try to avoid Sony, Phillips, and Panasonic, cuz i can tell you, all the $70-90 dollar models from these don't even produce the sound these little buddies give you. and the senheiser CX300, is the exact equivalent of the Creative Ep-630, except they're $10, and come with what i think an annoying, asymmetrical wire, which has one earphone with a 2.5 times longer side than the other to put around the back of your head. but, the Shure Se110 often goes on sale up to sometimes even $50, so still, try to look out for those. some earphones around $100 that might go on sale and are still nice earphones are the Ultimate Ears Metro Fi 2($80), Super fi 3 Studio($100), Super Fi 4i($100), Super Fi 4vi($100), Altec Lansing UHP306($90), and UHP 336($100).
