Instrument Microphone

Would a webcam microphone be good enough to record an instrument?

I have a CD recording to make for an audition, and I don’t have a microphone yet. I’m wondering if I should get just a microphone or a webcam with a mic for the extra goodies. I play the alto sax, if that’s relevant.
